    Signature Bike Winners!


    We have some very fun news to announce.... our winners of the two Bike4theCHF Signature Bikes (Giant Defies donated by Ryder Bikes) are Barret Knudson and Team Magnus!

    Congratulations and thank you to all who participated! Because of your hard work and wonderful support we raised $32,496 for The Children's Heart Foundation!

    Days 32 - 34 Chicago weekend & South Bend, IN Meet & Greet/Send-off


    Happy Fourth of July!  Today we head out from South Bend Indiana (our 8th state on the Bike4theCHF 2011 tour)!  

    We'll be catching you up on all of the celebrations that we shared with our Kid4theCHF, Lucy in Chicago and have highlights from all  of our visits back to Bettendorf where we honored Kid4theCHF Jacob.

We learned of our baby’s congenital heart defect at our 20 week ultrasound. Although the remainder of my pregnancy was tainted by anxiety and stress, we were able to prepare for our daughter’s arrival by learning as much as we could about congenital heart defects.  Lily Colleen McManus was born on January 4, 2010 at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Lily was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries, a heart defect that requires open-heart surgery to survive.  Lily was a fighter the minute she entered our world as the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice and… Read Lily’s full story
